National Gallery Singapore, Supreme Court Wing, Level 3, Rotunda Library & Archive Nestled into the dome of the Rotunda Library, Botanica is a surreal canopy of uncanny, macroscopic flowers that grow and dance in slow motion in the sky. The light projection uses found footage and was inspired by real plants and their significance in Southeast Asian art. By trying to distil and mediate elusive floral life forces into a hypnotic homage to natural beauty, the McGuires continue to tell the story of artists throughout history who have attempted to capture the inimitable allure and essence of flowers.

Davy and Kristin McGuire are multi-award winning mixed reality artists, internationally renowned for their idiosyncratic experiments in digital projection, immersive art and storytelling.
