FAMILY PROGRAMMES

The Gallery works closely with arts practitioners across various disciplines to develop programmes for families. This creates opportunities for parents to bond with their children through the arts and stimulates young minds in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

BOOK IN A NOOK
National Gallery Singapore - Book in a Nook  

Gather round and listen to fascinating stories of people, places, animals, and objects being read in the permanent galleries.

    Pick up new art-making skills as a family! Under the guidance of artists, create your own masterpiece inspired by works in the Gallery!

     

    • Every second Saturday of the month
    • 1.30pm-3pm
    • $20 per adult-child pair or $30 per adult-child trio
    • For 7-12 year olds, with accompanying adults

    National Gallery Singapore - Tween Workshops  

    Dive deeper into the stories behind artworks and installations in one of the Gallery’s special exhibitions or festivals. Learn art-making techniques from artists and educators and create your own masterpieces.

     

    • Select Saturdays in June, November and December 2018
    • 2–5pm
    • $30 per participant
    • 11–16 year olds

    DROP-IN ACTIVITIES

    Get creative as a family through art-making or exploring the Gallery with a fun activity guide. Activities and guides change each month.

     

    • Select Weekends and Public Holidays
    • 10am–6pm (last admission at 5pm)
    • Free, no registration required
    • For ages 4 and up, with accompanying adults

    Discover art through imaginative play at the Keppel Centre for Art Education.

     

    Keppel Centre for Art Education is a dedicated facility in National Gallery Singapore that offers an exciting line-up of museum programmes for children, youths and families all year round.

     

    Based on the belief that every person is born creative, signature spaces in the Centre provide an artistic environment that will stimulate the imagination of younger audiences, with special programmes designed for youth and adult learners.

     

    The Keppel Centre for Art Education is made possible by a generous gift from Founding Partner Keppel Corporation.
