FAMILY PROGRAMMES

The Gallery works closely with arts practitioners across various disciplines to develop programmes for families. This creates opportunities for parents to bond with their children through the arts and stimulates young minds in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

STORIES IN ART
National Gallery Singapore - Kids & Families - Stories In Art  

Dive into a world of stories that make artworks come alive! Listen and imagine along with professional storytellers as you journey through a treasure trove of art in the galleries.

 

  • Every second Saturday & Sunday
  • 2.30pm-3pm, 3.30pm-4pm
  • Free
  • For 4-8 year olds, with accompanying adults

Gain a new perspective on artworks in the Gallery’s collection. Learn more about the artist and art-making process through a docent-guided discussion.

  • For 5-8 year olds, with accompanying adults

FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS
National Gallery Singapore - Kids & Families - Family Art Workshops  

Pick up new art-making skills as a family! Under the guidance of artists, create your own masterpiece inspired by works in the Gallery!

 

  • Every second Sunday of the month
  • 1.30pm-3pm
  • $20 per adult-child pair or $30 per adult-child trio
  • For 7-12 year olds, with accompanying adults

DROP-IN ACTIVITIES

Get creative as a family through art-making or exploring the Gallery with a fun activity guide. Activities and guides change each month.

Located on Level 1, City Hall Wing

 

Discover art through imaginative play at the Keppel Centre for Art Education.

 

Keppel Centre for Art Education is a dedicated facility in National Gallery Singapore that offers an exciting line-up of museum programmes for children, youths and families all year round.

 

Based on the belief that every person is born creative, signature spaces in the Centre provide an artistic environment that will stimulate the imagination of younger audiences, with special programmes designed for youth and adult learners.

Art Playscape is currently being refreshed to bring you a new and exciting artist-created space!

 

Temporary closure from 2 Jan–9 Mar 2018

 

You can still visit other art spaces at Keppel Centre for Art Education and enjoy family programmes every weekend.
