FAMILY PROGRAMMES

The Gallery works closely with arts practitioners across various disciplines to develop programmes for families. This creates opportunities for parents to bond with their children through the arts and stimulates young minds in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

STORIES IN ART

Dive into a world of stories that make artworks come alive! Listen and imagine along with professional storytellers as you journey through a treasure trove of art in the galleries.

 

  • Every second Saturday & Sunday
  • 2.30–3.15pm & 3.30–4.15pm
  • Free
  • For 4–8 year olds, with accompanying adults

 

Registration opens from 10am at the Keppel Centre for Art Education Reception

ART EXPLORERS

Gain a new perspective on artworks in the Gallery’s collection. Learn more about the artist and art-making process through a docent-guided discussion.

  • For 5-8 year olds, with accompanying adults

FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS

Pick up new art-making skills as a family! Under the guidance of artists, create your own masterpiece inspired by works in the Gallery!

 

  • Every second Saturday of the month
  • 1.30–3pm
  • $20 per adult-child pair or $30 per adult-child trio
  • For 7-12 year olds, with accompanying adults

TWEEN WORKSHOPS

Dive deeper into the stories behind artworks and installations in one of the Gallery’s special exhibitions or festivals. Learn art-making techniques from artists and educators and create your own masterpieces.

  • 2–5pm
  • $30 per participant
  • 11–16 year olds

Located on Level 1, City Hall Wing

 

Discover art through imaginative play at the Keppel Centre for Art Education.

 

Keppel Centre for Art Education is a dedicated facility in National Gallery Singapore that offers an exciting line-up of museum programmes for children, youths and families all year round.

 

Based on the belief that every person is born creative, signature spaces in the Centre provide an artistic environment that will stimulate the imagination of younger audiences, with special programmes designed for youth and adult learners.

 

Notice

 

Please note that the following spaces will be closed for refreshment. Look out for these new experiences when they reopen!

 

  • Project Gallery will be temporarily closed from 1 Apr–24 May 2019.
  • Art Corridor will be temporarily closed from 6–24 May 2019.
  • Children’s Museum will be temporarily closed from 8 Apr–24 May 2019.
