Studio Workshops

What is a Portrait?

What is a portrait? Why do artists make them? How can portraits help us to learn more about ourselves? Enhance students’ observation skills and self-expression with a guided tour of the Permanent Galleries, followed by an activity where students will try their hand at sketching portraits. Through lively discussion, students will discover stories and build their confidence in looking at and responding to different portraits.
