PORTRAITS OF THE PEOPLE & THE ART CONNECTOR

PORTRAITS OF THE PEOPLE
& THE ART CONNECTOR

Thank you for your overwhelming response to the Portraits of the People campaign! Between November 2014 and June 2015, Singaporeans from all walks of life submitted their portraits and shared what the pledge meant to them.

The submitted portraits have been artistically curated and selected portraits will be etched in copper throughout the Art Connector, a permanent aesthetic sheltered walkway that links City Hall MRT to the entrance of the Gallery. The Art Connector is a unique and lasting tribute to the diversity of our people, and their enduring promise to build a happy and progressive Singapore. It was officially launched on 27 November 2015 by President Tony Tan as part of the Gallery’s SG50 Art Carnival.
