Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the Gallery’s vision to inspire and engage people through art. The Gallery offers a wide range of opportunities for interested and committed volunteers to pursue their interest and passion for the arts.

Description

Gallery Hosts

Help visitors navigate the Gallery's spaces. Duties range from assisting with directions to providing information on the artworks.

Greeters and Way Finders

Welcome all visitors and attend to general enquiries. Assist with directions and wayfinding, and look out for patrons with items that need to be deposited into lockers.

Gallery Explorer Guru

Showcase the Gallery Explorer mobile app to visitors, demonstrating key features and helping them to download the app onto their mobile devices.

Programme/Event Assistants

Provide logistical and event support for the Gallery's major events and programmes.

Resource Centre (Library Volunteers)

Manage the front desk of the Resource Centre and Library; assist with basic cataloguing and referencing, and other library work.

Resource Centre (Digitisation Assistance)

Assist library officers in indexing and abstracting of archival materials and developing an inventory. Uploading data to RC Digital Asset Management system.

Daily Guided Tours Assistants

Assist with the preparation of the docent tool kit (i.e. set of pictures, artefacts, etc). Assist with the distribution and collection of headsets. Assist docents to manage the group throughout the tour.

Administrative Assistants

Provide administrative support from collating visitor feedback to compiling artwork information for educational purposes.
