- In her letter to Pauline Chen, Georgette Chen mentions that she went to the British Council to judge some paintings. She is looking forward to completing the portrait of the Chen family and needs Fah-Shin to pose. She also wants to start on the Rambutan series. Mrs. Wong has bought the plot of land next to hers, so they will be neighbors. Georgette's dizzy spell has disappeared, and she is hoping for the best. She shares the good news that her stepmother will transfer funds to her account, which will make things easier.
