- In her letter to Georgette Chen, Dorothy Bordass conveys thanks to Chong Soo Pieng for serving on the selection committee she chairs. She reminds Georgette to submit her list of entries to the British Council by Saturday, as they will appear in the press on Monday. Dorothy expresses pleasure with this year’s works, particularly the introduction of some ‘primitive’ pieces, but also disappointment for not being able to create more worthy paintings. She mentions that she will be returning home and will only come back to Malaya in 2-3 years.
