- In her letter to Georgette Chen, Dorothy Lee expresses her hope that the letter reaches Georgette safely at her new address. She mentions Mrs. Kan's continued inquiries about G at the hospital. Dorothy also references Madame Chiang, Ken, Lu, and John. She notes that her large family keeps expanding, but not on Inez's side, and she expresses distress over the lack of males in the family.
