- In her letter to Georgette Chen, Pauline Chen apologizes for the trouble Georgette experienced while they were in Singapore (details not provided). Pauline mentions that school has started again and she is back to teaching, which will reduce her chances to visit. She expresses hope that Georgette can visit Kuala Lumpur more frequently. Pauline shares that Dorothy Chen won $5 for her self-portrait and mentions an English friend who is interested in meeting Georgette to commission portraits of her children.
