- In her letter to Pauline Chen, Georgette Chen mentions that she'll be sending some tea soon. She notes an improvement in her health, though she experienced stiffness and pain due to her erratic arthritis. G advises Pauline against passing the red packets to Dr. Loh's children since Chinese New Year has passed. She extends an invitation for Pauline to bring her children over during the Easter holidays for a visit to the biscuit factory. Despite not receiving full payment from the loan society yet, she mentions managing to pay the contractors $2000.
