- In her letter to the Chens, Georgette recounts the busy week she had after her two-month exhibition stint in Malaysia, akin to a "Roman holiday." She diligently organized the delivery of her frames, tended to practical matters like obtaining a spare tire, engaged in marketing activities with Mrs. Wong at Joo Chiat, and tidied up the kitchen cupboards. A notable event during the week was a party arranged by the school for Mr. Loh Cheng Chuan of the Penang Art Society on Thursday afternoon. Over the weekend, Georgette focused on putting her studio in order and aimed to unpack the frames and pictures before the following week. Georgette expresses gratitude to Pauline and her family for their immense help during her absence. Their support contributed significantly to the success of her exhibition, and she particularly enjoyed the company of the children. She reflects on how their friendship has evolved and deepened over time.
