- In her letter to Rosamonde, Georgette Chen expresses concern about not receiving a reply since her last letter on December 17, 1950. She shares that reports from home strongly advise against returning to China and emphasizes the importance of finding a suitable job for Ho Yungchi. Currently, they have no assurances from China and are considering the possibility of a "specialist" job in America or teaching positions in Malaya. Georgette mentions that she is awaiting further advice from Rosamonde.
