Scope and Content
In her letter to Georgette Chen, Rosamonde updates her on the current situation in China. She shares details about her job responsibilities and the new restructuring programs being implemented. Rosamonde is impressed by the spirit of the people, who are working hard for the country despite receiving little pay. She mentions borrowing Georgette Chen’s spinet from Chuang Yoeh Foong to help with her insomnia. Additionally, she requests that Georgette send her some thin black silk material.
