- Top: Chen Chong Swee (second row, second from the right), Chen Wen Hsi (second row, far right) and Tay Peck Koon (first row, centre) are pictured here. Probably early 1950s or just as Wen-hsi arrived in Singapore, 1949. Both started the Chun Yang Painting Society in Swatow in 1931. Both artists were from Chaozhou / Teochew. Bottom Chen’s family at a kampong house.
