Boschbrand (Forest Fire) - The landscape and sky
From the nine o’clock directional marker, move your finger up towards one o clock, until you come across pointy patterns with matte textures that represent the forest fire. As the fire burns a bright red-orange, grey smoke spreads across the sky from left to right. Move your hand over and above this fire to feel the billowing smoke in the sky. The smoke is represented by the horizontal lines that run across the length of the painting.
Near the three o’clock directional marker lies an extended landscape. Feel the denser horizontal lines, which represent the distant forest and mountains behind the cliff. As you move your fingers downwards, you’ll encounter wavy patterns which represent a calm lake surface. The misty water faintly reflects the orange firelight, adding depth and a dramatic contrast to the scene.
