- In her letter to Georgette Chen, Dorothy Bordass extends an invitation to a cocktail party organized by Mrs. Simonson at the American Club, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Noonan. She mentions that Mrs. Noonan, a painter who submitted three paintings for the competition, requested to meet the women on the organizing committee. Dorothy thinks Mrs. Noonan would be an interesting person to meet and hopes that Georgette will accompany them, even if just for a short time.
