Scope and Content
In her letter to Pauline Chen, Georgette Chen comments that the vendors at breakfast time miss Pauline and Chen Fah-Shin, and she hopes they will have a proper holiday next time in Singapore. By then, her new hut might be ready. She shares that her ‘Rambutans’ painting at the British Council exhibition was a success, and she will be painting more of the fruit for Mr. Kong. She also wants to tackle another Rambutan painting before the season ends. Georgette is looking forward to Fah-Shin’s visit and asks Pauline to come too. She mentions that Sandy has collected his skates, and Mrs. Loh paid a visit with her children last Saturday. Finally, she provides a breakdown of the accounts she has with Pauline and mentions she will accept the extra $100 as she is tight on cash.
