- Scope and Content
- In her letter, Georgette Chen shares that she has started a new medication that claims to cure her condition, so she cannot take the Chinese prescription, though she thanks the principal for it. She mentions walking down the stairs without pain the previous day and hopes the improvement will continue even after stopping the medication. She expresses gratitude to Mrs. Wong, a friend of Pauline Chen, who was very helpful in setting up Georgette's garden, especially in conversing with the gardener who only spoke Fukien dialect. Georgette notes that the garden is coming along nicely. She mentions that the piano she wants is $200 more expensive because of the color. Additionally, she is still waiting for her stepmother's draft to pay the contractors.
