Scope and Content
In her letter to the Chens, Georgette shares that in the 12 days since her return, she's been busy attending to various tasks, including cleaning her house, attending parties, and spending time with friends who remark that although she lives in Singapore, her heart seems to be in Kuala Lumpur. She mentions receiving Pauline's parcel while baking with Mrs. Wong and her friend, noting that the dress may need some alterations. She updates them on attending Ahwei's birthday party, enjoying a good mah-jong session, and joining another party hosted by Dr. Loh at the Empress Restaurant. While writing the letter, Mr. Li paid her a visit. He's in better health and has extended an invitation for Georgette to have a chat with the Tunku in KL. Additionally, she mentions being invited by Sir Roland Russel to a convocation at the University of Malaya, indicating her plans to visit the Tunku during her trip. Georgette requests Pauline to make an appointment for her and telegram the response.
