Scope and Content
In her letter to Chuang Yoeh Foong, Georgette Chen reflects on the power of friendship and memories of her late husband, Eugene, which have given her strength during adversity. She mentions that her health is improving but not completely recovered. Georgette informs Yoeh Foong about her recent exhibition in Kuala Lumpur and her ongoing project of building a studio bungalow on an installment basis. Expressing her intention to remain in Malaya to continue painting due to the beneficial tropical climate for her rheumatic condition, Georgette encloses a letter to Yoeh Foong and Rosamond detailing her current life. She requests Yoeh Foong to inform other friends who Yungchi might call on.
