This tactile graphic combines all previous pages to present a complete version of the painting.

The artist Raden Saleh is regarded as one of the most important 19th-century artists from Java. Hailed as the “father of modern Indonesian painting,” he is known for orientalist landscape and dramatic animal hunt paintings, which appealed greatly to the European public due to their exotic nature. Boschbrand was painted during his stay in Paris, when he was at the peak of his career. It was presented as a personal gift to King Willem III of the Netherlands as a token of appreciation for his royal patronage.
