Articulation Prize Singapore
Co-organised by National Gallery Singapore (the Gallery) and the Singapore Art Museum (SAM), in conjunction with National Gallery, London, the competition is designed to promote the appreciation and discussion of art among youths.
Key features
Articulation invites leading arts experts and practitioners to adjudicate the Semi-finals and Grand Finals, where students deliver their presentations to them and an audience. Emphasis is placed on research, presentation skills, original thought, and evidence of each speaker’s unique potential. Students get to hone key soft skills such as:
Developing public speaking and presentation skills
Building confidence
Sharpening critical analysis skills and original thought
Eligibility and registration
The Articulation Prize Singapore 2026 is open to all full-time students aged 15–19 based in Singapore. Interested applicants must register through their respective schools.
Each school may select up to five students to submit their recorded presentations.

| 20–21 Oct 2026 or 22–23 Oct 2026 | Discovery Days Students may participate in Discovery Days to learn more about the programme from museum educators and curators. |
| 15 Jan 2027 | Submission School to submit video entries to Articulationsg@nationalgallery.sg. School may choose to hold an internal school heat to shortlist candidates. |
| 18–19 Feb 2027 | Semi-finals Shortlisted candidates represent their school in the Semi-finals or Grand Final hosted by the Gallery and SAM. All candidates in the Semi-finals will receive a certificate of participation and special prizes. |
| 5 Mar 2027 | Grand Finals Finalists will present at the Grand Final before a panel of adjudicators and stand a chance to win cash prizes. |

Discovery Days
Articulation Discovery Days are workshops designed to develop and support young people’s understanding of and engagement with art.
In this two day workshop, participants will:
- Explore National Gallery Singapore’s current exhibitions and long-term displays
- Discover the Learning Gallery and other exhibitions at the Singapore Art Museum
- Learn through research, group discussions, and interviews with curators
- Present their research and personal responses at the end of the workshop

About the partners of Articulation
The National Gallery, London, is the current home of Articulation, a national education programme for students aged 14–23. Since 2022, the programme has championed the arts and empowers young people to look at, understand, and present the wider visual world.
Articulation was originally established in 2006 by the Roche Court Educational Trust, an arts education charity based at the Roche Court Sculpture Park and New Art Centre in Wiltshire, UK.
