The Odyssey presents the wanderings of an Explorer across seven surfaces of the Civic District's majestic monuments. An offspring birthed by the union of the Sun and the Moon. The Explorer sets out on a journey to understand his origins. He discovers daylight wonders and the magical after dark: an echo of his beginings that can be traced to night and day.

The Explorer steps into a forest that blends the natural and the surreal. What appears to be a tranquil landscape at first, soon reveals itself to be something quite different. Dark mysteries and vivid revelations start to unfold as the interplay between light and shadow becomes the order of the day.

The Explorer finds himself in a liminal space where he faces both order and chaos. The prevalence of artificial intelligence and surveillance cause the virtual and the real to intertwine. He sways between states of Utopia and dystopia, in scenes inspired by the literary world.

Magic and fantasy unfold as The Explorer encounters a world of museum artefacts and objects that come to life at dusk. The objects transform into mythical creatures and landscape formations, only to return to static at dawn. Here, he realises the cyclical nature of his journey.

See the journey of the former Supreme Court, the last colonial building constructed in Singapore, through the eyes of Lady Justice herself. The last colonial building constructed in Singapore, it witnessed the development of justice and was transformed into an art museum.

Discover William Farquhar, the first British Resident and Commandant of Singapore and a man who defied regulation. Representing disorder in an ordered space, Farquhar commissioned Chinese ink artists to paint outside their traditions and found novel ideas to prevent a cholera epidemic.
