TikTok Creative Residency

This residency invites creators to explore, experiment, and create engaging content around the Gallery's exhibitions, events, and behind-the-scenes work.

Have a flair for content creation and a unique perspective?

The Gallery is launching our first-ever TikTok Creative Residency, and if you're a chronically online doomscroller who spends a little too much time on social media, this one's for you.

As our Resident TikToker, you will create content that generates buzz around our year-end blockbuster exhibition Pop after Pop: Art around Us, our flagship festival Light to Night Singapore 2027, and other exciting projects, while gaining exclusive access to behind-the-scenes activities at the Gallery. With the space to learn, experiment, and exchange ideas, the residency aims to allow you to develop your storytelling practice while bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas to how art and the Gallery are experienced.

If you're passionate about creating content, love getting creative and experimental on social media, live and breathe TikTok, and want to translate your brainrot into telling engaging stories around art, we invite you to apply.

The residency will run from 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027. This is a paid opportunity and is open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore PRs based in Singapore.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Not at all! We’re more interested in your creativity, ideas, penchant for whimsy, and ability to tell engaging stories than your follower count.

You don't need to have an arts background or be an expert on art. We’re interested in creators who are curious, culturally engaged, have a unique point of view, and can tell engaging stories to social media audiences.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, culturally plugged-in and comfortable experimenting with different formats. You might be a filmmaker, designer, comedian, videographer, or something entirely different. If you're able to spot stories in the wild and turn random thoughts into content, we want to hear from you.

The TikTok Creative Residency is open to all Singapore Citizens and Singapore PRs.

Yes, this is a paid engagement where the Resident TikToker will receive a stipend for the duration of the programme.
