Lim Tze Peng: A Singapore Story in Ink 《墨韵星洲: 新加坡艺术家林子平特展》is a major travelling exhibition celebrating the decades-long career of one of Singapore’s most revered centenarian masters, Lim Tze Peng.
On view at Shanghai Art Museum from 6 November 2026 to 7 April 2027, the exhibition spans eight decades and brings together Chinese ink, calligraphy, oil, and mixed media works created between 1946 to 2023 alongside archival materials. From scenes of old Singapore to expressive landscapes, mindscapes, and “heartscapes”, trace how Tze Peng painted a changing Singapore and his travels across Southeast Asia, gradually developing a distinctive artistic vision all his own.
