About

How to Art with Friends gives you the opportunity to go on a quirky journey through the Gallery on your own terms and in your own time! With ten fun activities that guide you to look at art in new ways, it’s all that you need to have a blast with friends at the museum.

Flip through the booklet and pick any activity that floats your boat: you can create music playlists, take expressive portraits of each other or write simple poetry. Each activity helps you to connect with and think about visual art in different ways, while also encouraging you to share your experience with friends.

This is the perfect museum companion for anyone looking to connect with themselves and others in creative and unexpected ways!

  • Ticket Information: S$2 per set.
Each set comes with one How to Art with Friends guide and one pencil. Each participant is encouraged to purchase one set for their own use.

How to use the Guide

Experience art your way by:

  1. Picking up your guide from the Visitor Services Counter at Basement 1, City Hall Wing (Don’t forget your Gallery passes!)
  2. Following the flowchart on the inside flap of the guide to decide on which activities to try out
  3. Reading the instructions in the guide on how to use it - Going on your own journey around our exhibition galleries!

The activities in the guide do not have to be completed in a particular order. You may skim through the guide to look for those that you like, or you could even try out all of them if you have the time! If you’re still not sure, look at the quiz on the inside flap of the booklet to help you determine which activity suits you the best.
