Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Commission: Tuan Andrew Nguyen

Exhibition Catalogue

This catalogue accompanies Temple by Tuan Andrew Nguyen, an interactive installation in the Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Gallery that transforms remnants of war into resonant spaces for reflection and healing. Painted in “Day-Glo safety orange”, a colour that warns of danger yet radiates renewal, Temple features percussive instruments that visitors are invited to interact with—bells, a chime and a gong—made from defused UXO recovered from Quảng Tri, Vietnam. Essays, photographs and an interview trace Nguyen’s artistic journey, revealing how sound, memory and form converge to reimagine the aftermath of conflict.
