Only Connect: An Anthology of Poetry, Painting and Comics brings together nine artists who respond to the poetry of Felix Cheong and artworks from the collection of National Gallery Singapore. Each artist has developed a comic that creates a story from these pairings. The works vary in style and theme but share a concern with memory, reconciliation and connection.
Artists include: Clio Ding, Fang Kai Loo, Don Low, Koh Hong Teng, Cheah Sinann, Danny Jalil, James Tan, Vanessa Leong and Clio Hui
Only Connect succeeds both as an art book and as a meditation on creative translation, on how words, images and emotions converse across forms.
