Inspired by Liu Kang’s painting, Life by the River, from the collection of National Gallery Singapore, Kampong Roots is a pilot sensory theatre experience created with Zip Zap Zoom Collective Ltd.

Step into a kampong house where everyone is welcomed.

Smell the comforting aromas of grandma’s cooking and listen to cheerful songs that fill the air with joy.

When you’re ready, wander beyond the house and explore the magical mangrove forest—feel the twisting vines, soft leaves beneath your fingers and meet the curious mudskippers that live within this imaginative world.

*We welcome children of all abilities to explore and play together during this inclusive programme. Every child is encouraged to participate at their own pace and in their own way.
