Set in a world where voices are silenced and creativity is chained, Liberation offers vignettes of stories where characters use art, astrology, and radical truth to challenge a regime built on slavery, narcissism, and censorship. As they decode the stars to guide their resistance, each character confronts their past and reclaims their identity. In a society obsessed with control and image, their fight becomes not just political, but spiritual—reminding all that true freedom begins when the soul dares to speak its truth.

Join playwright Grace Kalaiselvi and her collaborators as they present a performance that brings audiences on a tour of the DBS Singapore Galleries and learn more about untold narratives of Indian communities in Singapore through the lens of the Gallery’s collection.

This programme is bilingual, in English and Tamil. Translations will be provided to audience members.
