Eng Tow 杜瑛 (1947–) first became known in Singapore for her use of cloth as a medium in artmaking. Tow’s works have since spanned a range of media from paper to three-dimensional works reflecting her experimental and explorative approach. Many of her works are reflections of her innate responses to her environment and experiences, manifesting and channeling the metaphysical beauty and inexplicable forces around us.

Eng Tow's navigation of art is led by intuition and curiosity, and shaped by a deep connection with nature. The works in this exhibition throw light on key shifts in her practice of close to five decades as she traversed media and methods-- from methodical constructions in cloth to cast and collaged paperworks and painted abstractions.
