The UOB Southeast Asia Gallery is temporarily closed and will reopen in late 2027. In the meantime, works from the National Collection remain exhibited across the Gallery.

Rather than depicting eroticism as narrative or spectacle, Blue Magma investigates the body as a vessel through which desire, intimacy, vulnerability, and transformation are experienced. Responding to Passion is Volcanic: Desire in Southeast Asian Art (R18), this work by Decadance Co. explores eroticism as an embodied state – one that exists through movement, breath, weight, touch, tension, and proximity, rather than through overt theatricality or sexual representation.

Designed specifically for the exhibition architecture, the performance unfolds through a series of modular choreographic episodes situated across multiple galleries. Rather than presenting a fixed beginning and end, dancers travel through the exhibition, activating different spaces and creating an evolving relationship between movement, artwork, and audience.
