Reimagine fashion through sustainability in this hands-on upcycling workshop, presented in collaboration with sustainable fashion brand Commenhers. Designed exclusively for Gallery Insiders, this session invites members to learn, create, and explore sustainable fashion using materials repurposed directly from the Gallery.

Participants will learn about the challenges of recycling textiles and the role of upcycling in sustainable fashion. With guided instruction and no prior experience required, you’ll pick up basic sewing techniques using a sewing machine and craft your own functional pouch with a base, made from upcycled PVC banners from National Gallery Singapore’s Children’s Biennale 2025.

Walk away with your own one-of-a-kind pouch and a fresh appreciation for how discarded materials can be transformed into thoughtfully designed, functional objects.

  • When: 30 Jan 2026, 3–5pm
  • Suitable For: Adults
  • Where: City Hall Wing, Level 5, Rooftop Studio
  • Ticket Information: $40 per pax
