This exhibition reveals the story behind the creation of the National Collection in the 1960s and how it continues to evolve today by highlighting the significant acquisitions and donations made in recent years. The layers of collecting history emerge from (re)collecting the past and capturing the present through over 120 works. Featured artists include Affandi, Georgette Chen, Cheo Chai-Hiang, Latiff Mohidin, Lim Hak Tai, Lim Yew Kuan, Navin Rawanchaikul and S. Sudjojono.
