This December, children can become Art Guardians-in-Training on a mission to restore the stories, voices and powers of artworks across the Gallery. In this one-day drop-off camp, campers work through a series of missions inspired by Peace Forest by Soh Ee Shaun and other works on display, meeting Gallery Guardians along the way and discovering what it takes to protect and bring art to life. The day builds towards hands-on art-making, where children put their discoveries into practice and work towards earning all three ART Guardian badges.
Each season of ARTventure Camp is themed around a different special exhibition at the Gallery, with children exploring new art forms and techniques through hands-on activities, gallery tours and collaborative projects — a great option for working parents during the year-end school holidays. This programme is recommended for children aged 7–12.
Let’s Create! A Mask Like Me Workshop
When: 12 Dec 2026, 2–4pm
Where: City Hall Wing, Level 1, Keppel Centre for Art Education (Expression Workshop)
Ticket information: $25 per person
Inspired by David Medalla's work and other Pop Art artists featured in Pop after Pop: Art around Us, this workshop invites children to explore what makes Pop Art so bold and create a mask that reflects their own colourful imagination. Participants discover how artists during the Pop Art movement made daring artistic statements, before crafting their own unique mask using colour, imagery and recycled materials as a form of self-expression. The session ends with a mask march through the Gallery and Keppel Centre, where young artists get to show off their creations and celebrate making art together.
All materials are provided in the drop-off programme, and no prior experience is required. Recommended for children aged 7–12.
