It’s been a wild experience and opportunity to create an artwork advocating for our planet 🌍 A heartfelt thank you to @nationalgallerysingapore and @tmofa_kids for inviting me to be part of the “When Art Meets Nature” exhibition. My installation, “The Invisible Forests”, serves as a poignant reminder of our disappearing forests, a consequence of climate change and relentless urbanisation. The artwork features mountain-like domes that appear visibly pale and empty on the outside, representing the delicate state of our natural environments. @nationalgallerysingapore is 10 years old! dug up some photos taken of me there over the years, both at work and at leisure 1. Boschbrand by Raden Saleh, taken by Mohd Khalid Baba (I can’t remember the occasion but I think this was a test shot! the photographers would use me as a test shot stand-in sometimes) 2. Le bassin aux nymphéas, harmonie rose, by Claude Monet in Century of Light (2017), also by Khalid - one of my favourite art covers I worked on. And it looks like eight years later Impressionism Is Back 3. Finding peace within the breathtaking architecture of the National Gallery Singapore, where history and modernity exist in quiet harmony. Walking through the gallery halls, especially standing before Raden Saleh’s artworks, Indonesian pioneering romantic painter, his powerful works gave me chills I can’t quite put into words. Life has its challenges, but moments like this remind me that beauty, strength, and calm are always within reach, waiting to be felt. Because poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. Also did I mention that I love Monet’s paintings?! 🖼️ so unreal and beautiful, his technique and soft touch are so uniquely crafted 🥹🌹 🇸🇬
