The Gallery Children’s Biennale closes on 29 March, and we’re celebrating with a final weekend of wonder on Saturday 14 March! Enjoy live performances that bring the Biennale to life, and dive into hands‑on activities where kids can create, play, and make magical memories. Revisit your favourite artworks or discover new sparks of Joy, Kindness, Dream, and Love—one last time.

About the Programme

Bring the whole family for a fun day at the Gallery as the beloved Gallery Children’s Biennale comes to an imaginative and expressive close. ​

​Rooted in play, performance and participation, the programme invites children, families and friends to gather, watch, make, and play together. The programme features a runway with a twist, celebrating creativity and inclusive art-making experiences. A mini game show invites children and families to play, respond, and laugh together. Hands-on workshops, playful activities, and treats offer fun ways to create lasting memories as a family.​

Hero Runway turns the spotlight on everyday heroes through an exciting fashion runway showcase. Before taking on the runway, participants will sign up for a hands-on workshop to create their own capes as a creative expressions on care, strength, and resilience.

‘Let’s Make a Pop-Up Card’ Workshop​

Enter a whimsical world inspired by Vicente Delgado's (a.k.a Tito) magical artwork installation, I WE THEM! In this fun workshop, kids will learn how to create their very own pop-up cards, bringing their favourite characters to life. With inspiration from the playful, imaginative universe of Tito's artwork, children will explore creativity, design, and the magic of 3D art!

$5 per parent-child pair, suitable for children aged 3 and above

Join us for a fun and creative workshop where kids can express their feelings and emotions through art! Inspired by Fern Wong's artwork, Colourful Play, participants will decorate and design unique creations that reflect how theyfeel on magnet pieces. Together, we will explore self-expression, creativity, and have fun with colour! ​

The workshop will be conducted by student facilitators from the Visual Arts Track programme in the Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Educationat National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC), Temasek Polytechnic campus. As pre-service early childhood educators withspecialised training in visual arts and facilitation, the student facilitators willlead interactive art experiences for families and young children. This collaboration offers an authentic platform for them to apply their creative and pedagogical skills in a professional museum setting.​

Tree of Wishes invites children and visitors to add their hopes, dreams and ideas to its branches, for themselves, their communities, or even the future editions of Gallery Children's Biennale. Each wish becomes part of a growing visual collection of the community's of the community's aspirations for a future world.

On display leading up to the closing of Gallery Children Biennale, the Tree of Wishes celebrates the joy of shared dreams and the magic of imagining possibilities together.
