As part of Light to Night Singapore 2026, the Padang—located at the heart of the Civic District—comes alive with large-scale artworks such as Gathering on the Lawn by Michael Lin and Rumah Laut by Firdaus Sani.

On the final weekend of the festival, Picnic on the Padang is presented as part of the SANTAI series, inviting visitors to slow down, gather, and enjoy the festival with their loved ones. The experience includes a limited-edition picnic basket, perfect for enjoying the Padang installations and the National Gallery Singapore façade projections.

Participants can collect their picnic basket and settle in at the Padang for a relaxed evening amid art, light and the city skyline.

Each picnic basket includes:

• 1 Limited edition picnic basket
• 1 Picnic mat
• Light snacks x 3 packets
• ⁠Packet water x 2 packs

Ticketing & Collection Details

• Picnic baskets are available in limited quantities and must be purchased in advance.
