Art museums are a pretty popular date idea, but how do you plan your perfect Gallery date? National Gallery Singapore gives you architecture worth getting lost in, art worth talking about, a murder mystery to solve together, and some of the best dining in the Civic District. Whether you're planning a first date or a hundredth, here's how to make a full day of it.

 

Take a tour together

Begin the day with the free Highlights of the Gallery guided tour – a good way to find your footing and have something to talk about for the rest of the visit. Running approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, the tour covers the Gallery's architectural highlights and selected masterpieces from the permanent collection, led by knowledgeable docents who bring both the buildings and the artworks to life.

English tours run Mon–Fri at 11am and Mon–Wed at 2pm; Mandarin tours run Sat–Sun at 11am. Register at the Visitor Services Counter or Tours & Programmes Counter at least 30 minutes before.

Solve a Murder Mystery in Framed

Plan Your Visit

National Gallery Singapore is open daily from 10am to 7pm (last admission 6.30pm), located at 1 St Andrew's Road in Singapore's Civic District – a five-minute walk from City Hall MRT (Exit B). Many spaces and exhibitions are free to enter for Singapore Citizens and PRs.
