The UOB Southeast Asia Gallery is temporarily closed and will reopen in late 2027. In the meantime, works from the National Collection remain exhibited across the Gallery.

Ever wanted to try playing a kompang (Malay frame drum), hua gu (Chinese flower drum), or mridangam (South Indian double-headed drum)? Now is your chance! This dynamic workshop is your opportunity to get hands-on with an incredible variety of ethnic music instruments.

Led by the Singaporean multi-ethnic group yIN Harmony, the session offers engaging insights into the history and unique soundscapes of various ethnic music instruments. Top off your learning experience with a practical session where you can try the instruments for yourself and make music as a group.
