The Arts House at the Old Parliament, Outdoor Lawn (Right)

Commissioned by Arts House Group for VERSE 2026, brumblings transforms one of the The Arts House at the Old Parliament's outdoor lawns into an illuminated literary playground. The work draws inspiration from Singaporean poet Wahidah Tambee’s collection of visual poems, Eke (2025), which captures the awkward, chaotic “stuckness” of expression—when words fumble, stammer and collide like wildly unspooling threads as new meanings rush in.

Through tactile, playfully reimagined alphabet blocks, the installation invites audiences to experience word entanglements in motion: forming, scattering and shifting like clouds. In this playful exchange, brumblings reveals the power of human imagination—opening new possibilities each time curiosity meets it.
